Konstantinos Flaris

Konstantinos is a master’s student in the Transportation and Infrastructure Systems program at the Lyles School of Civil Engineering. Originally from Athens, Greece, he received his Diploma in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens with a specialization in Transport Engineering. During his undergraduate studies, his research focused on developing an ownership cost model for electric vehicles, investigating the discrepancy of the total cost of ownership between electric vehicles and other powertrain technologies from a consumer perspective, and how does this affect the widespread adoption of electric vehicles and policy planning. His research, resulted from his thesis, titled 'Analysis of total cost of ownership for conventional and alternative vehicle technologies: evidence from France', has been published in Advances in Transportation Studies (ATS) journal. His research interests include transportation electrification and adoption, emerging technologies, and sustainability and economic aspect of transportation systems.

Aside from conducting research, Konstantinos also enjoys hanging out with friends, watching movies and hiking.
